26 deaths linked to opioid crisis in Peterborough in 2019

It’s an issue that isn’t unique to Peterborough – but the city is dealing with loss of life that it has never seen before.
The opioid crisis.
The city is ranked in the top three in deaths per capita according to Ontario Public Health.
26 people have died this year from a suspected opioid overdose and there is still no safe injection site here.
