Manitoba-born cosmologist James Peebles and two Swiss colleagues, Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz, have won the 2019 Nobel Prize in physics. As Redmond Shannon reports, Peebles now finds himself on top of the world, after looking beyond it for 55 years.
