Team Kenya became one of the feel good stories of the U19 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship when the tournament was held in Peterborough over the summer.
The girls overcame obstacles including poverty, lack of proper equipment and funding to become the first team from Africa to compete in a lacrosse world championship.
One of those volunteers who was a liaison for Team Kenya is heading there to reunite with the girls, and she won’t be going empty handed.
