On Oct. 8, Liberal Party Leader Justin Trudeau said if re-elected, his government would “go even further to protect the environment” by conserving more land and water, assist people retrofitting their homes, and build an economy that “drives clean tech innovation.” Trudeau also said that he’d make sure all Indigenous communities are powered by clean energy rather than by diesel, by the year 2030.
