Nearly 1 million migrants arrested along U.S. Mexico border in fiscal year 2019: White House

At a White House press briefing Tuesday, Mark Morgan, acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, told reporters the number of migrants taken into custody along the U.S.-Mexico border soared to nearly 1 million during the 2019 fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, the highest in 12 years and up 88% from 2018.
