William Kaelin, a professor at the U.S. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School who won the 2019 Nobel Medicine Prize on Monday, accepted the prize partly on behalf of his late wife, Carolyn, who was a pioneering breast surgeon.
