A fire at an abandoned house in Alnwick-Haldimand Township on Saturday night is being deemed suspicious.
Firefighters were called to a structure fire on Savory Road, east of Harwood, around 7 p.m.
The house was destroyed by the time crews arrived with just a chimney left standing.
Fire chief Mark Dimine said the house had no electricity and the cause of the fire remains under investigation by Northumberland OPP.
Between March and June of this year there were at least 4 suspicious fires in the region.
