Almost half of criminal cases in Edmonton withdrawn

A Global News investigation has found that 47 per cent of criminal cases in Edmonton were withdrawn by the Crown last year. That number is higher than the latest provincial and national averages collected by Statistics Canada. Experts point to the shortage of Crown prosecutors as a likely factor. Julia Wong reports.
