If elected, Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer said on Sept. 28 that his government would construct a national energy corridor to combat the submission process of “complicated route proposals” for all new projects. Scheer also said that having a single corridor would minimize environmental impacts and lower environmental assessments costs, in his opinion.
