NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said the appointment of Syrian honorary consul Waseem Ramli was “deeply concerning” due to his previous support for Syrian President Bashar Assad. Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland said earlier Wednesday that Ramli’s status had been revoked.
