Asked if he felt “dragged into” the racist makeup controversy that arose last week, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said Tuesday in Burnaby, B.C. that he did. But said he felt he needed to represent many people and while he felt the “weight” of doing so, he said they need someone to “stand up for them.”
