Ontario’s Minister of Health Christine Elliott announced on Sept. 10, which is also World Suicide Prevention Day, that the provincial government is spending $3-million over three years to fund a child and youth mental health program called Project Now, which will aim to prevent child and youth suicide in Mississauga, Ont.
