Tenters’ safety becoming a concern for Peterborough church

It has been nearly two weeks since Victoria Park was shut down and those living in tents were asked to leave.

Many of those people have moved to the lawn of Emmanuel United Church just across the street.

The church’s reverend says the dropping temperatures means the campers will eventually be asked to leave for safety reasons.
He’s calling on the city to find a more permanent solution to Peterborough’s homeless crisis.
