Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer urged people to stop vaping after confirming one of the five deaths was in her city. Deaths have also been confirmed in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Oregon, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Sept. 6.
