‘The Blob’ blamed for weather extremes across Canada

From the Atlantic provinces to the West-Coast, the winter of 2015 was one of weather extremes. There’s a new theory about why it was so warm in some places and so brutally cold in others….a weather pattern called the North Pacific Mode could be responsible.
