A Mississauga woman renting a room to a university student who then cancelled after paying deposits has returned almost $1800 to the London man following a Global News story. Cynthia Bettridge rented a room for $875 to Wolfgang Klinger, who almost immediately decided to cancel. As Sean O’Shea reports, Bettridge returned the money after a few days and is now suing the student, her parents and Global News for defamation.
