British Prime Minister Boris Johnson faced questions from all sides of the House of Commons Tuesday after news broke that a defection in the Conservative ranks had cost his party their majority. Johnson lost his working majority as MPs returned from their summer recess to challenge his decision to leave the European Union on October 31st no matter what. Phillip Lee left the Conservatives to join the Liberal Democrats, who oppose Brexit and want to remain in the European Union.
