After several trips to the Dominican Republic, a Prince Edward County couple noticed that communities surrounding Punta Cana had a lack of emergency vehicles. When they arrived home, they heard that Loyalist Township was selling a decommissioned firetruck and they decided to reach out to the township council and the fire chief to see if they would be interested in donating it. They agreed. The truck arrived in the village of San Francisco Vincentillo in early August and now the couple is telling their story.
