Thousands of peaceful protesters in Hong Kong joined hands to form a “human chain” in different parts of the city, including at Des Voeux Road, outside of Central Station. Chants such as, “Hong Kong people, add oil,” and, “Triad police, return an eye,” (in reference to the protester who suffered a severe eye injury die to a police beanbag attack) have become rally cries for the movement.
