On Aug. 21 during an emergency ethics committee meeting former Minister of Employment and Social Development and MP Pierre Poilievre questioned Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s motives in the SNC-Lavalin affair. Trudeau was found to have broken federal ethics rules by repeatedly interfering in the criminal prosecution of SNC-Lavalin.
