Acting Director of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Ken Cuccinelli, announced on Aug. 12 that congress has now defined the term “public charge” by law. The U.S. will allow for immigrants to come who will be able to support themselves, he said, but this will not affect asylum seekers.
