It’s been one week since the Richter Mountain wildfire ignited near Cawston in the Similkameen Valley. At one point it raced down the hillside, threatening properties and prompting evacuation alerts as well as smoke advisories. Now– it no longer poses a danger– thanks to the efforts of firefighters.
