Something smells bad in the east end and residents want the borough to take action. For the last three weeks, some parts of Riviere-des-Prairies have smelled like rotting meat. The heat that has blanketed the city for the last few weeks seems to have made matters worse. As Global’s Dan Spector explains, an equipment failure at the Sanimax plant is behind the stench.
