Masses of people left stranded as blackout hits Venezuela

More than half of Venezuela’s 23 states lost power on Monday July 22, according to Reuters witnesses and reports on social media, a blackout the government blamed on an “electromagnetic attack.” Commuters in peak rush-hour traffic in Caracas had to improvise their way homes with metro services canceled.
