U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on July 21 that the United States is looking to build tighter partnerships with other countries in the western hemisphere, such as El Salvador, in order to crack down on crime and illegal immigration. Pompeo said this during a press conference with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele.
