Venezuela’s Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino said on Friday that it had “intercepted” a U.S. airplane within the country’s exclusive economic zone, days before the U.S. accused a Venezuelan fighter aircraft of “aggressively” shadowing a U.S. Navy EP-3 Aries II plane over international air space.
