NASA launched an empty Orion spacecraft designed to carry astronauts to the moon, the Ascent Abort-2, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on Tuesday, to test its launch abort systems during a liftoff emergency. The second abort test for Orion was a success, keeping the capsule on target for the first-crewed flight in 2022.
