Shark attack deaths infrequent, says doctor of teen shark attack survivor

For the first time since 17-year-old Paige Winter was attacked by a shark off the coast of North Carolina on June 2, her medical team publicly spoke about her recovery and the story of the attack, during a press conference on June 14. One of Winter’s doctors, Dr. Eric Toschlog, said shark attacks are infrequent and death by shark attack is extremely rare.
