Conservative MP Peter Kent questioned the government about the role of Liberal MP Joe Peschisolido’s law firm in a 2011 secretive “bare trust” real estate deal that involved convicted drug trafficker and alleged kingpin of the Mainland China-based crime cartel the Big Circle Boys, Kwok Chung Tam. Tam has denied any involvement in organized crime and gangs. His lawyer says claims of organized crime have never been proven in court. Peschisolido has denied any knowledge of the case and says lawyers at his former firm operated independently.
