On June 10 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada would ban many single use plastics by 2021.
It’s a move applauded by Ashburnham Ward Councillor Gary Baldwin, who once pitched a similar idea to his fellow councillors.
While Peterborough isn’t pushing forward with its own ban, Baldwin is forming a committee focusing on environmental stewardship.
