Thousands attend funeral for Syrian ‘Singer of the Revolution’ killed in battle with government forces

Thousands of people attended the funeral on Sunday of Abdul Baset al-Sarout, a Syrian soccer player known as the “Singer of the Revolution,” after he died from wounds sustained in a battle with Syrian government forces.
