UN “gravely concerned” about growing violence in Sudan

The United Nations says it’s “gravely concerned” about the deadly violence in Sudan, and wants to send a monitoring team into the country. At least 100 people have been killed during this week’s military crackdown on protesters. As Eric Sorensen explains, the bloodshed is diminishing hopes for a peaceful political transition.
