Peterborough lawyer Trevor Burgis reflects on trip to Mt. Everest, and the mountain today

So far this year 11 people have died trying to summit Mount Everest.

The government of Nepal recently hauled about 24,000 tons of garbage from the world’s highest peak.

In 2005 Peterborough lawyer Trevor Burgis travelled to Nepal with his father. The pair trekked to the base camp at Mount Everest.

He spoke with Global News Morning Peterborough about his experience, and shared his thoughts on the state of the mountain today.
