Former Facebook adviser urges governments to shut down social media platforms until they can be reformed

Speaking to the House of Commons privacy and ethics committee on Tuesday, Roger McNamee, said the most effective path to reform would be to shut down social media platforms — at least temporarily—until they can be reformed.
