UBC study: Steroids can reduce lung cancer risk in COPD patients

For many people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease – or COPD – a steroid inhaler is a necessity to help them breathe. Now, a UBC study shows that they may also reduce patients’ risk of lung cancer.
