Trump defies Congress to complete sale of over $8 billion in weapons to Mideast including Saudi Arabia

U.S. President Donald Trump bypassed Congressional opposition on Friday by declaring a national emergency with Iran in order to complete a sale of more than $8 billion worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, leaving both Democrats and Republicans upset over the tactic.
