New leader appointed in House of Commons after Leadsom resigns amid Brexit turmoil

A new leader in the House of Commons in the UK has been appointed after the former leader, Andrea Leadsom, resigned saying she did so in protest of Theresa May’s Brexit strategy. Conservative Mark Spencer is standing in until Mel Stride takes over.
