Proposed changes to housing legislation puts endangered species at risk, says naturalist Drew Monkman

The province wants to revamp the rules around the endangered species act, which would, in part, require developers to pay higher fees for building in areas that put certain species at risk. Critics are calling the move, “pay to slay,” legislation. Peterborough educator and naturalist Drew Monkman stopped by Global News Morning Peterborough to talk about the legislation.
