Widespread flooding continues in Midwest U.S. after heavy rains sent rivers rising over their banks

The Mississippi River is at record levels in some areas causing flooding in several river front towns. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds will survey the damage in Davenport, where parts of downtown remain underwater after a temporary barrier failed earlier this week. The flooding situation across the region is proving to be deadly. In Indiana a two-year-old boy died Thursday when his mother’s car was swept away by floodwaters after she drove passed a high water sign.
