Climate change poses greatest risk to health, says Peterborough’s Medical Officer of Health

Peterborough Public Health is hosting a seminar March 28 to discuss climate change and its effects on our health.

Officials say humans will increasingly become more susceptible to insect and water-borne diseases, health effects from heat waves and increased UV rays and the effects of plunging temperatures in some areas.

Dr. Rosana Salvaterra, Peterborough Public Health’s Medical Officer of Health, stopped by Global News Morning Peterborough to talk about it.
