Firefighters battle storage bin fire in Peterborough

Peterborough Firefighters were called to a fire in a storage container early Sunday in the east end of the city.

Crews arrived at the Kawartha Village Co-Op housing on Lansdowne Street near Ashburnham Drive around 1 a.m. and knocked the fire down.

The storage container was reportedly holding construction equipment when it went up in flames.

Peterborough Police also responded and documented the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
