Frauds, bail violations drive increase in Peterborough’s overall crime rate

The Peterborough Police service released their annual crime statistics Tuesday during the monthly Police Services Board meeting.

While violent crime is down, overall crime and calls to the police service have increased 5%.

According to Insp. Neil Collins, frauds and bail violations are behind the increase.
