A woman only suffered minor injuries after the car she was driving struck a tree in Alnwick/Halidmand Township on Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 1 p.m. along County Road 29 , several kilometres east of County Road 45, just east of Fanning Road.
Northumberland OPP say the westbound driver swerved to avoid striking an animal and then lost control of her car as it veered off the road and the passenger side struck a tree.
