Minister Freeland and Minister Sajjan were asked for reaction on Monday about the sudden retirement announcement of the Clerk of the Privy Council Michael Wernick but wouldn’t reveal “what happened” between this morning’s Cabinet shuffle, where he was present, and hours later when the announcement was made, due to “cabinet confidentiality.”
