Jussie Smollett freed on US$100K bond after charge laid in ‘hoax’ attack

“Empire” actor Jussie Smollett is officially charged with staging a racist and homophobic attack on himself. The head of the Chicago Police Department accused Smollett of “using the pain and anger of racism to promote his career.”
