Peterborough area Catholic school board says encouraging young girls to study science is crucial

According to Stats Canada, women are graduating with degrees in math and sciences in ever increasing numbers, yet only account for 39% of the workforce in those careers.

Sarah Taylor, an education consultant with the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland Clarington Catholic School board, says its youngest female students bring some of the brightest ideas to the science table.
