Peterborough proclaims February Black History Month

The City of Peterborough has officially recognized February as Black History Month.
It has been acknowledged nationally since 1995, but this is the first time Peterborough has formally marked occasion. The proclamation was celebrated today by giving long-time resident and jazz singer, Ada Lee, the key to the city.
