As a painter Marco Sassone’s influences trace back to his studies at the Academy of Fine Art in Florence, Italy where he was raised. Eventually Sassone moved to San Francisco and in the early ’90s dedicated his life to homelessness. He learned about each individual he painted and what led them to the streets.
