One woman was taken to hospital after a house fire on Stewart Street in Peterborough early Wednesday morning.
Fire crews arrived on scene around 1:30 a.m. and quickly extinguished the flames.
It’s believed the fire was started as a result of a cooking incident.
Damage is estimated at $5,000. There’s no word on the woman’s condition.
