The multi-talented writer-director-actress Penny Marshall has died at age 75 due to complications from diabetes. Rising to fame as Laverne on the sitcom “Laverne & Shirley”, Marshall would go on to pave the way for female directors in Hollywood, directing blockbuster comedy hits including “Big” and “A League Of Their Own”.
